Witness of My Dad Passing Away
I just want say thank you For being a wonderful dad Thank you for welcoming me in this world You have taught me so much Your creative imagination Your endless talent your helping hand I remember your walk Your warm smile Your gentle nature Your love for your family Your great love for God Your sharing heart Sorry sometimes if i did not understand you I knew you always meant well Dad remember one scorching afternoon You remain silent sitting outside I called to you but your reply was Leave me to sit in the sun Where you been told by God you were going to leave I remember washing up the dishes And taking care of mum and sister As they had come down In a terrible flu Somehow dad i could feel something i was unable to know if god was telling Me something But suddenly the door opened And i saw you hit straight for the bathroom As can you can imagine i thought After sitting in the sun the whole day You needed to wash your face Busy doing my work I suddenly found you did not return I heard a loud bang i thought something had fell down i dashed to see what was that All to see you on the bathroom floor Mouth opened a teardrop on your face As you know i was still young and believed That God will never take my parents Dad i called for mum Mum in her state of illness Came running she just looked And remained silence did not utter a word I can only imagine how she felt I tried to save you dad I was holding you in my fragile arms Mum at your legs When managed to pull you aside You were so heavy as if the body became a shell I guess god know how this works Of how the soul leaves and takes place for another body I was hoping i could save you I wiped your tear and combed your hair Mum said its to late Dad gone I cried torrents of rain Only to know you have died with a major heart attack Sorry dad if only i was a doctor I could have been in time to save you I guess God loved you more And took you away I know he is taking of you And by your side Goodbye Dad
