Her Heart's Not In It
He tells her he loves her but she doesn't feel the same, over the years he caused so much heartache and pain. He smiles at her lovingly she turns her head away, her heart's not in it it used to be, one day. He gives her long stemmed roses but she doesn't care anymore, pinks, reds, yellows and whites she throws them upon the floor. She gave him her heart the day they became as one, beneath a weeping willow in the hot August sun. He made a vow in front of God promised her, his soul and heart, who would have thought their marriage would fall apart? If she had already known the man he was to become, she wouldn't have married him under the hot August sun. He had changed his ways has eyes for other women, always lusting after them he was animalistic, not human. He used to have eyes for her now he plays a nasty game, toying with her heart he is the one to blame. Her heart's not in it when they're together in bed, she wishes she were somewhere else she even wishes, she were dead.
