Vulnerable
Just tell me you love me. Feel free to add the reasons why. Why are you still so madly in love with me? Or tell me, am I wrong? Have I been wrong all along about the bondage I thought we shared? Because I allowed myself to become vulnerable to you and you left me… bare. Bare and cold. Cold like the way your heart feels when I lay my head on your chest. Just tell me that I’m crazy. Tell me how all of this heartache is a figment of my imagination. That your love is kind, pure, real, and ever-so true. Or tell me, am I’m right? It is true that your love for me has faded into the distance? Because I continue to allow myself to be vulnerable towards you and every night you leave me… bare. Bare and cold. Cold like the way your heart feels when I lay my head on your chest. The stale, frigid air is too strong for me to fight off alone. I’m allowing myself to be vulnerable towards you. So please just tell me after these six years, Do you still love me?
