The White Kitten and Butterflies
From eyes of a kitten As I wink my eyes through sun's bright shutter, from beneath shrubs in lazy garden of the house, I see vivid, iridescent blue butterflies flutter, the youngest kitten, am not catching any mouse, From beneath shrubs in lazy garden of the house, numbered thirteen, only white among all black, The youngest kitten, am not catching any mouse like swirl of petals, they chase me along the track, Numbered thirteen, only white among all black, floating gently in circles, land over my head, Like swirl of petals, they chase me along the track, I rub my paws, jump high to catch them instead, Floating gently in circles, land over my head, sweep untouched, sip on flowers and take flight, I rub my paws, jump high to catch them instead, hide in daisies to reappear on treetops in delight, Sweep untouched, sip on flowers and take flight, I see vivid, iridescent blue butterflies flutter, Hide in daisies to reappear on treetops in delight, as I wink my eyes through sun's bright shutter.
