It’s gone like the wind, Now I’m forced to repeatedly pretend, Without my soul only my heart is left to defend, Defend the things that will never have amends, And it feels as if I’m on a never ending binge, And I swear to you my heart is singed. No one knows that I’m anxious ALL THE TIME, Or how I just can’t stop these thoughts overpowering my mind, Or how I’m trying to find my way out these tangled vines webbed with lies, Or how I just want somewhere that I can just call mine. No one knows that music is my savior, It can control and influence any and all of my behaviors, But I solemnly wish that I could do myself a favor, Nothing extreme, nor major, I’m just having a hard time letting go of this player.
