Everything you'd want in a dad, in a husband, in a best friend. He was self taught. That's how he earned respect and along the way I fell in love with his tough exterior and better yet his bitter sweet heart. There was something just so familiar behind his chapped slit lips. Something I couldn't put into words. He was someone who knew everything but wasn't afraid to be wrong. Someone who followed his gut more than his mind and knew how to live life. A man made of many walls, that he'd built himself of course. To protect himself of being hurt once again and even more so hurting someone else. With the help of booze, profanity, and laughter he found a way to keep going & until he realizes all of this he will continue to be a man who accepts less than he deserves.
