Break Up Blue
I can’t help it your in my head, All the times now filled with dread, You had my heart and now it’s broken, Because of all the feeling that where then awoken, I’m trying to move on but you’re always there, Flirting with people, did you really care? My friends they all warned me they said it wouldn’t work, And then I ignored them and acted like a jerk, I almost lost them and now I’ve lost you, By they stuck by me because they were true, But I’m still sat here thinking about you, And how the thoughts they make me feel blue, I can’t help but think that you were just playing, Because right throughout its all my friends were saying, You made me think it was real and then you walked away, Then when I tried to talk to you, you said there’s nothing to say. You blamed it on me, said we didn’t spend time together, But that was all you, so don’t try to be clever, You were always too busy out with your friends, While I was stuck and home losing my friends, We stayed up till all hours talking on the phone, Now I sit up all hours thinking alone, You say that you don’t want to lose me, Then maybe you should not have misused me, Because my feelings were true and now I feel blue, And honestly that’s all down to you… I’m trying to move on, talking to someone new, But when I talk to her all’s I think about is you, I know it’s only been a month but I need to face the facts, Me and you are over now and I need to mend the cracks, When you flirt with other people, that’s not to get at me, That’s just you moving on that is clear to see, You’re not trying to keep me down, So there is no need for me to stand and frown, Because you’re not my girl no more and it is not my place, But do you have to do it while I am there? Because it is in my face, How do I move on when you are always by my side? I always sit here and think maybe one last ride, Maybe she wants to try again like I do, But then I think no that’s why I am feeling so blue… I know what I need to do, I need to read this poem to you, Get it out my system and then just move on, Give myself some space till the feelings are all gone, Maybe then I can move on and maybe even find the one.
