Scorned
I breathe deeply, Take a long blank, Look into the night sky, Ironically clear as day, I Inhale. The air is heated, Smoke rising, Sirens in the distance, I don't care, I blur it all out, I feel it , Seeping, Into my very soul, I feel the calm, Starting to take root. To love someone, Is a gift, More often taken for granted, Than most realize, To find true love, Is an anomaly, An error of probability, A tenth of a tenth of a tenth, Improbability. Yet find it I did, And better still, Take it, A fools errand, But aren't we all fools of love, Reveled in a dream, And I none the wiser, Immersed myself, In this impracticality. The fuel, Still ripe, On my fingers, Stinging the scuff marks, Damn, I should've seen it sooner, Felt it sooner, But love blinds all even, The best of us all. I take another puff, The cannabinol, Seeping further, And further, Into my bloodstream, Calming my nerves, An unnatural way of sorts, And in that moment, I think, Why have I never tried this? Damn, note to self Grow my own stuff. The immense heat, Warms me, Even from a distance, Emanating, From what once was, Our home, Our escape, Our fortress, But she took it all, She destroyed it, Genius places, The odds of, The type of connection, We shared, Reoccurring next to infinite zero, And for what? Bloody revenge? Ill conceived, Poorly planned...aargh! Damn it woman! At least cover your tracks. All is lost.. I inhale once more, Deeper than the last, Yes, calm me, Was getting worked up there, But I finally understand, The anger women feel, The frustration, The fractures within, The torment, And I am overwhelmed, Bloody flippin lost it! She hurt me, She broke something, Something inside me, And I can't fix it, However hard I try, I can't undo the damage, I inhale again, I dislike variables.. Ones I lack control over, But that's fine, I exhale, the smoke, Leaving my body, With the troubles clouding my mind, I'm smiling now, An evil grin, A broken grin, An almost contented grin, The flames fuel further, The feeling, The thought of, Getting even, I think about, Her house, Her offshore and onshore accounts, Her car, Her prize yacht, Her various estates, That which, She thought safe, She thought hidden, I laugh almost maniacally, Almost....almost.... I inhale once more, Marvel at the night air, I especially like, How her roof.. Catches flame, It missed the large oak, Always liked that tree, I chuckle, No, I laugh, At how composed I am, As I walk away, I finally understand, Hell hath no fury.. Who says women get to have all the fun.
