Valentines
Watch me burn and watch me die – o! my dove! Is there honestly a thing such as love? Valentines coming from Cupid’s arrows But true love could not be found in arrows I loved you, and thought that you were the one, I was wrong. All you did was try to shun Me, you loved me not, I was not enough But still I stood up, but still I was tough Even though you loved me not, I begged And once we finished playing, you segued Out, to another girl. O! a new girl! Filled with love for you and filled with those pearls A gift for one as majestic as you Hanging on your neck as you returned, true To our house that used to be filled with two Now only one, relationships askew I still read your cards, in between the lines Christmas cards, Easter cards, and Valentines Watch me burn and watch me die – o! my dove! Is there honestly a thing such as love?
