My Emeny, My Friend
I will always remember the day that we met, The chills down my spine and my terrified sweat. The way that you grinned at my worrisome fret, You wooed me with lies I would come to regret. Gaining my trust you taught me your ways, Becoming a wolf in a world full of prey. Thinking myself immortal as I gleefully slay, Not knowing that it's me you plan to betray. You whispered sweet nothings into my eager ears, Shimmering and gleaming as you extinguish my fears. Avidly you drank luscious rubies from the necks of my peers, Promising to protect me and avenge my sorrow filled tears. But today, you asked for a new item that your pallet can savor, Leaving me stranded, lonely, with no hope of a savior. Fleeing from the bond you swore would never fracture. For it is I that your sharp silver mouth seeks to devour. Desperately I fight back this creature, this monster condemned, But it's hostile, vicious attack I could not hinder nor suspend. It wanders the trails of my veins, spewing it's feast, bringing my end. Still, I cant help but smile, as I give my life for my dearest of friends.
