Mom's Square
White frocks and Open hair Such free was I in my mother’s square… That cold breeze and Muma’s smile Such relieving peace, this was my style! She made me laugh and eat With no a fear I walked down the street Mistakes I made as an evil child Yet she forgave with her tender smile ‘Mom’ I scream, in her deep sleep; there she ran to see me weep! All the days she was sick, not a time did I peep! Never upset, never rude Mom was always there not matter what her mood! Tis the love so deep; never realized I got this all free Mom’s little girl as I grew, reached her shoulders so carefree My Priorities that then changed, Mom always tried to explain… Hurt and tears is all I gave but mom still loved with all the more pain! If I knew life’s a game, I’d want to run back to the time When mom tapped and sang the songs in bedtime! With white frock and open hair I’d always prefer to dance in my mother’s square!
