10 Years From Now
10 years from now you will be unrecognizable soon your tear stained cheeks will even out and you will not remember the quotes about depression that pumped from your heart to your blood you will become more than the words plastered on your arm and hidden in your throat your nails will finally grow because you kicked the nasty habit you will rid your stomach of the crawling spiders that you told everyone were butterflies and one day your hands will stop trembling your brain will produce thoughts that make sense and you'll learn that you are not insane for thinking about dying every now and then soon enough, confidence will sprout from your skin and tangle you into someone who could not be defeated white lace will wrap itself around your ribcage as a field of daisies emerge from your lungs you will become capable of wanting to breathe 10 years from now you will thank yourself for the depression you won't regret days lost in your bed because your anxiety was a little worse then and it called your name like a long lost friend someone will soon love you wholly and purely and will trace your skin and connect your freckles as you tell them stories about your grandmother's pearls and every dimmed thought and ounce of perpetual sadness will flow from your hands to the sky in a flood of blues and purples so that 10 years from now you can count the stars and see your story written across the galaxy m.r.
