Black and Blind
Written By: D. Collins 1/12/16 Although I’m a black man, most folks think I’m blind. A 117 I.Q. should make them change their minds. Far from genius, I dwell above most men. I gained most of that knowledge from family and friends. Just because I am black, doesn't mean life has to end. Being shot in the back is the message now being sent. I will not falter. Nor, will I ever give in. I am the beginning of a massive movement. Although I am black, never think I am blind. I’m the root that gave life to all of mankind. That says God has special plans for me. If not, I wouldn’t have survived throughout eternity. Even if I were blind, I could still see. I’m one-of-a-kind, born and bred to lead. Every bit of my future is all in God’s hands. Which doesn’t diminish from being a strong, black man.
