My Family
Deep into tonight as I lay tired and restless, I think of all the joy I have experienced in my life... There are certain people I must thank for my God given outlook. I can start with my mother.. you are so dear and loving. You hold a very special place in my heart, for you have given me life and in my life I have you, I couldn't be more grateful. My father, of course, always a steady rock. Full of patience and quiet sarcasm we all love to listen for. Supportive in ways I will never be able to show my gratitude, and I pray you know how special you are to me and my family. Karen, rest in peace... without you, I wouldn't be at this place that I have always dreamed I could be. Thank you for saving me and giving me comfort in all my times of sorrow and thank you for all the laughter during all our silly sleepovers. You mean the world to my Ella, and you always will. My best friend, and big sis' Jennifer... What can I say about you? There are no words I could ever say to you that would express my deep love for you, and for our unending friendship. We see each other in ways no one will understand. We have our own separate language and share the same smile, while embracing our differences all at the same time. My maid of honor, my big sister, and my best friend. You are the best auntie to my daughter and I pray you always remember that. To my older brother Joe.. We have grown up together to be strong people individually, yet we still share a common bond between us. We've made so many fun memories that I will cherish forever... And my Nicholas..my sweet husband. Without you, there would be no me. I met you at age fifteen, and twenty years later, here we are living proof that love does conquer all. My mate to my soul... and my line to my life... -always and forever. I don't know what I did to deserve you, but you will always be my better half. Lastly, to my beautiful little itty bitty Ella Rose. How did I get so blessed? How is it possible that I could have the honor of being your mother? My dear sweet rose, you are beautiful when you are laughing and even more when you're sassy. My favorite person in the whole world. Without you I wouldn't be the same. Your beauty brings sunshine to me... Sunshine that never goes away even on the cloudiest day... My family. I love them. I cherish them. I need them. I thank them.
