There was a little boy named Juan, who was gathering daytree grass to put in a shoe box and filling with water a bowl to put them under his bed. He had the hope to receive the gifts he wrote in the list that he addressed to the three kings. Juan wanted as gifts a video game console, a laptop and a TV. His sister Alicia wanted as her most wished gifts a doll, a purse and a set of earrings. The cattle and horses were grazing in the pasture. Juan helped his father Carlos to feed the animals. His mother Ana and his sister Alicia, did the household chores. Juan could not wait the moment to go to sleep. The tradition says that kids have to go to sleep early, so the three kings leave the gifts under the bed and take the shoebox with the daytree and a bowl with water for the camels that transport the three kings. Carlos was seasoning the pork that is going to be roasted on the stick in the yard on the Three Kings Day holiday on January 6. Ana is going to cook rice with green pigeon peas. A typical food prepared on Christmas holidays in Puerto Rico. The evening arrived in the country. A cold breeze was felt in the air. Bedtime hour arrived for Juan and Alicia.
