How I Feel About Christmas
How do I view December Twenty-fifth? I must be careful of each word I say. I'm not allowed to speak of Him whose name makes up six letters of this holiday. How will I meet this challenge to my muse? I'll think about it as I cook and dine. I'll make some biscuits and brown gravy. Hmmm! I have no flour, but all should turn out fine. I'll drive around and brainstorm for a while. My Chevy lacks a motor; still, I feel it will provide a cruise around the town, a chance to conjure words that will appeal. Perhaps I'll build a snowman in my yard. It hasn't snowed all year, but I can buy a dozen cans of artificial snow, create a masterpiece, then smile and sigh! But I digress! I have been asked to tell what this great day and season mean to me. It truly is the best time of the year, with joyous sounds to hear and sights to see. I love the lively spirit of this time, the gifts, the feasts, the scenes and songs that please us; the decorations and--I can say "SANTA." I'll go before I stumble and say "J_ _ _ _"!
