Just One More Day
My dear good older brother, you have to know your friends and family all miss you so If I could have just one more day with you the things you liked are things that we would do! But first, we’d talk, of course. I’d really love to know what you’ve been doing up above! I think God needed you for something great beyond the veil while we’ve all had to wait We wait to one day know the answer why God took you when you were so young to die! I want to know if you’ve looked down to see what’s going on with us, your family. I’d get us all together once again. We could chat and laugh, remembering when. And as we talked, I’d pop our favorite snack - hot buttered popcorn for your welcome back. You loved the movies just as much as me. I’d catch you up on new shows on TV! We’d talk about our kids you’ve never met and all those new things like the internet! You loved fun music, so I would put on the greatest hits I’ve heard since you’ve been gone You loved your friends; your best ones I would call to join us. Life’s a party after all! To see you dance again would be a treat. For sure, we’d dance were we once more to meet! I’d want you to myself, but well I know this want of mine would be best to forego Your soul was always large. That was your way! So if you should come back for just a day. . . I’d be alone with you, but not for long. With all of us, dear brother, you belong!
