Christmas Joy
Away in a toy store as Christmas draws nigh, the mountains of money reach up to the sky, the customers hurry their presents to buy none notice the star shining high in the Sky. This star once looked over a wondrous scene where a baby was born to fulfil mankind’s dream of peace on our earth and goodwill to all men, but 2000 years have passed by us since then. So what has transpired since our God sent his son did this make a difference in all we have done. Has peace and good will been the nature of earth what purpose fulfilled by our saviour’s birth? A man in a red suit delights all our kids to bring us goodwill ‘Merry Christmas’ he bids. There’s more that believe that our Santa is real than believe in the story of Jesus I feel. So who spreads goodwill on this day every year, who is it that helps our life’s pains disappear. We all need to believe in this magical day but 2000 odd years seems too far away. The colour of red can bring cheer to your soul, a warm friendly voice our problems console. A gift from a stranger, no matter how small, is a message that goodwill can be shared with all. Away in a toy store as Christmas draws nigh, the mountains of money reach up to the sky, but maybe it’s worth all the pennies we spend to share our thanksgiving with a special friend. Santa or Jesus, whichever your way are the spirits that help us enjoy Christmas day. No matter it seems that this choice is so huge there’s more joy with them, than if you worshiped Scrooge!
