From the First Time That I Saw You
Was it yesterday , when I lost track of time Was it last night when I saw you that these lips yearned once again for wafting spice from heated wine . Was it last night when you got too close Was it that your smile ? Somehow it shone brighter warmer , even lighter - in my lonely night . Yesterday, I saw you , as I closed my eyes I saw you with my whole heart and not with rambling thoughts , cobwebbing my mind. Awestrucked by your passion play never thought you'd make me feel this way Was this love at first sight. ? I swear I heard a whisper, a hush - hushed gentle whisper I felt it blowing softly , deep inside . Is this imagination , tender infatuation Is this a virgin instinct I can't hide. Was it yesterday , when I lost track of time No , yesterday is gone , the chapter should be thorn I'll continue sailing , steering the wheel , alone. Pure Fiction : ) Inspired by Shadow Hamilton 's contest ( not for the contest )
