In the Twilight of Love
Beginning with the talks of ending, They stumbled on the starting line; Imploring her to stay, he wished it to be A sweet memory than a regrettable night. And the hours melted together into a black hole, Sucking out her sanity; Traversing between zones indefinite, She couldn't differentiate memory from reality. She wished to be black and white, In a colourful world Where she existed in greys; And for him, grey itself was grey. It was insane to let her go once, He couldn't let it end again; It wasn't loneliness he feared, But causing a beloved's pain. Asking her to trust the guy She had walked with that night Together they trudged along on a path unknown, Hoping to live a liberated life. They'll always be miserable at goodbyes, No matter how many decisions they take; In a world of drunken madness, of distant stars, and amber skies, What sense does sense make?
