I'M Not Okay
So typical, so cliche So, not good enough. The same words I've been writing pour out Again and again, What can I say to You that hasn't been Said before? What can I write That will open your Eyes to see I'M NOT OKAY I'M NOT ALRIGHT Once again the same Monotonous words of a thousand Kids before me. Rearranging the pain forcing it out Like the lines on our wrists We have no other way to tell you. You only see when it's to late. How many silent screams will fill the Air until someone stops and says, "Hmm, somethings wrong here." How many parents will bury their kids Crying out at the sky cursing God "Why," they ask, "Why me, why them, why didn't they give me a warning?" The tiny scratches or the big cuts The slow depression of life in their eyes The slump in their shoulders as they walk through the door All silent. Yet all so loud. Warnings.
