Songs of Power Contest-Let It Be
A poem written about "Let It Be" by the Beatles Sponsor: Silent One "Leave it as it is" said my affectionate mother, She saves me from the shadows in the night, There are lessons I need to discover, May I be filled with wisdom as we unite. So many questions left unanswerable, May the sun radiate until tomorrow, Broken hearted and vulnerable, Full of emotional distress and sorrow. "Leave it as it is" said my lovable mother, She sails me away to a distant island, In times of turmoil the darkness smothers, She taught me to be subdued by silence. May there be a solution for accusations, Resolution and answers for all questions, For her, my mother, gave me salvation, A chance the wounded find complete redemption. "Leave it as it is" said my warmhearted mother, Expand and accumulate enlightenment, All the times I was excluded and suffered, Her wisdom freed me from imprisonment.
