Rumpelstiltskin
Burn, burn does fables fire, as an impish figure dances, Around the wild flames of greed, guess, guess my Uncommon name, by the devil’s hang nailed toe, Your never guess it mortal woman, and so your Royal child will be mine! Beneath the ivory moon, a packed was so struck, Between a boasting millers daughter, and a creature Of malice’s intent, three gifts asked for, a lock of memory, A ring of vows promise, and the unborn kindred to a king. By the spinning loom, in golden threads of volume, Did this imp elf so weave, three rooms full of yellow Gold, to please a mighty lord of regal birth! The maiden did so agree to this bargain, To save her life and limb, straw to gold, as the Legends say, but in the end the last promise She begged to withhold, my child please let me Thus keep, for I’ll pay anything, and all I have, To keep my most precious treasure, my innocent Child! Now a bargain is a bargain, the imp angrily declared, But this evil ugly little fellow was no fool, A king’s ransom in golden coin, is after all nothing To be taken lightly, but oh beauty fair aren’t you My Queen of betrayal. So the imp made her one last offer, three nights To guess my name, if you do you keep the whole Cradles pot, your child, your golden thrones wealth, And your unvirtuous soul! Agreed you nasty little man, but if I guess rightly, You leave this kingdom forever, and never trouble My people or kin ever again! The first night she guessed every name she knew, The second from the castle library books, even The bible, still the imp just smiled, saying guess again, Or madam are you through! Now on the eve of the third night, the king’s wife, Snuck out into the forest, to the darkest part of the wood, Where demons creep within the shadows by Twilight’s ungodly hour! Here she found her quarry, the imp himself, singing By his shabby camp firelight, by morning I’ll be a Rich, rich man, eat the flesh of the innocent, While my golden bride is forced to watch! Nay no one can guess my hidden name, Rumpelstiltskin! Later that very same night within the Queens Private quarters did the same imp appear From vapors thin air, I’ve come my pretty one, To collect on my debit that you so owe, And this time no mercy’s tears shall touch My black darkened soul, my queen! Without a moments hesitations the skin stood up, Nasty little imp of evil’s demonic birth, I know thee, Rumpelstiltskin! Now the imp was sizzling with angers fury, Hatred’s boiling point blew within the little Man’s fiery furnish, you how did you know, Daughter of humanity, you’ve spied upon me! So hopping made was this evil imp, that he Simply exploded himself into teeny tiny pieces, Never to be seen again! BY: CHERYL ANNA DUNN
