Concrete Man
Did they rip your heart? Did they bleed it dry as stone? Thud, thud, thud It beats against the bone. Even your tears were hallow, Set against the ducts they never fell, But your tongue lashed like a whip You expressed yourself well. Those years of grief you spewed in anger Until we were sick of it too, Concrete man Solidified in heartache What will move? Move you? The cracks are showing now, What will be left of you but rubble? A mountain I will never fathom, Who did this to you? Who Leaked away the brightness So not even the dreams shone through? I had to get away, Every thing you touched Was hurt, and hell? I ran before I was too set in your ways, One monument to sorrow is surly enough. I wanted to break the mold No more tough Love, tough, But even from this distance you throw your stones, Determined to leave your mark, you wanabe medusa I will not look that way, I would rather bleed to death Than harden and grow cold.
