A Pink Ribbon For Mary
It's October again and sorrow is shown in tears, wear pink-shaped hearts to honor and remember anyone who has lost the long battle as Mary, or still hangs on feeble breath surrendering to treacherous and fierce destiny; it's the modern Black Death that kills helpless women in the thousands. I'm wearing a pink ribbon for Mary, a sister deeply loved, her courage was fought with her happy song by ignoring pain; beautiful Mary, even angels cried lots of tears making their eyes red; you called on death to end your suffering and flee to blissful Heaven. Your choice was to either lay in bed and have hope for a cure that wasn't promising, or think of that distant place where painful screams and tears didn't exist; it didn't take long for you to reach it by chasing the scarlet sunset heading West: and speaking your final words, " Mother is waiting for me, her joy is overwhelming" Entered in Poet Destroyer A's Contest, " Pink October #2 written by Andrew Crisci
