The Dreams In His Eyes
I vanish in the whirr of dreams in your eyes, The death masses swallowing me whole, Masked in your elegant form, A glistening conviction I cannot dare to obtain Woe be the paths to your chiseled love, For the principles of your life smother me, Kill me…enchant me As I feed upon the emptiness you have mastered You groan as I hold on to that dream… That dream flooding in his innocent eyes You grip me, and tug me away, As I cry out for him, farther and farther gone… And I realize then, That you have shown me, The dreams in his eyes, Were not his own… But were mine, reflecting back at me… Irrational conviction!!! Disgusting… Pathetic… Daunting… Low. I stare up at the black ceiling of reality The mirrors cannot lie: I am torn to shreds by your absolute love And I cannot say goodbye
