Rain
Let the rain come down today And wash all of my sins away My tears fall down my cheeks like rain Rain to wash away the pain I feel like a car stuck in a ditch Cannot move and without a hitch Spinning my wheels so I can flee This hole I’m in so to be free Every day feels the same Sadness, anger, fear, and shame Not moving forward or moving back Spinning a record on the same old track Days pass by; all’s still the same Still Playing in this stupid game Everything gets better is what they say But in this ditch is where I stay I feel my patience wearing thin The more I struggle, the more I sink in I want to just give up this fight And waste away in the sunlight But there is no sun; there is no light There is no point to keep this fight All that’s left is just the rain The rain to wash away the pain
