What Do I See
What do I see for I see I have knowledge, I have common sense, I have purpose I set my tears long deep down up under earths surface upon a land where my flesh sits; all I see through my eyes is burning in the childs face who sleeps in the ally and does not see the world turning I feel his wants to see the midnight sky fall and the moring sky rise and I told him in this time i wish to be blind for there is corruption of what I see Trust in me this place is a place neither of us shall be So again what do I see? I see the dead does not rest in peace for yet I've seen a soul playing around my creek Again what do I see? I see no one has left the living yards nor the grave yards from outside those ringing bells For what i see well! Now I should tell again what do I see For what I see is hell!
