Heartsong
My love, my heart is broken. Our goodbyes left unspoken. As time goes on, I will hold you inside of me. Safe in my heart while we're apart. Forever two as one we'll be. I see your face in my dreams And sometimes wake to my screams. You're gone but do I want to live without you? No one can know; my tears still flow. Each night the pain begins anew. I will honor you all the days of my life. Death is not the end; I'll always be your wife. Someday we'll be together. Don't mind the stormy weather. Blue skies will return sending the gloom far away. Sunshine will erase this frown from my face. Then, we two shall have our day. A sunny day, just a rainbow away. Rustling leaves whisper in trees as they sway. Calling me to come, "Where are you?, Where are you?" I'll be with you soon; when my life on earth is through. Beyond the clouds, we'll fly high. Two lovebirds kissing the sky. No longer wondering what lies beyond life's door. The earth can mourn but, we're reborn. Two souls, one love, forever more. Two souls, one love, forever more. Inspired by the music to Kyu Sakamoto's #1 hit song 'Sukiyaki' (1963 U.S. release) and the crash of JAL Flight 123 on August 12, 1985 with the loss of 520 passengers and crew. Kyu Sakamoto was among those who perished in the crash leaving behind his young wife. This is her song.
