Hurdles
passion is / frightening [lightning running it's claws down the burning tree's back] pull me closer, make it easier for me to attack-- push me away, i'm letting myself -------------------- go too far. i'd love to drink your beauty, to mar your power with my lack of focus. they make us something that we're not; stars looking down expectantly at us, as we hurriedly pull away, & outrun our tongues before they say what must be said. i led you away with the intention of privacy, left behind my so-called delicacy, hoping you would notice. but you didn't. (god is trying to tell me something,) STOP! (satan is trying to give me something,) NOW! instinctively i show myself how to rise above hesitancy, throwing my arms up in glorious acceptance of defeat. meet me at the wake of night, at the very point where the sun rests on the mountains directly before falling. [instant explosion, the newly born world is calling]
