Shall I Leave
Shall I leave? the wounded me, the enchanted me? And this handled heart with a chain of curses Shall I take it with me? For better dead than held within a skinny love Seeking another land was a hope But then turned to be my favorite nightmare The other land would be green But its where the roots have died and taken off Its where no shelter has been set for the cold Where the lights have never been turned on For better unseen than tortured by your stormy eyes Shall I soothe your solid life and be the abandoned one ? Just as your cravings are for the departure of me I could be the stone that you can throw it into the well of sighs For better unheard than muddling your balanced sea So shall I leave before darkness perches upon your lonely heart I could be wherever your longing me to be For better my name faded and better you freed
