Kaylie - My Little Prayer
My little prayer I’m praying now is just to hold you, Even though I don’t see how. I’m saying now, not knowing how I never told you, (Brief vocal interlude) I really meant to say goodbye; I never knew I’d be so, so far away. I couldn’t wake you, but I should have waked you All just to say, “My dearest Kaylie, goodbye.” I should at least have laid a kiss Upon your peaceful sleeping face. Wish I could tell you how much I miss Your charming grace. And so I pray an angel now Would place those kisses upon your sleeping brow. He’ll fly above you, he’ll say, “I love you;” He’ll say the pretty things I kneel to pray— And hold you. (Instrumental and vocal interlude) My little prayer I’m praying now is just to hold you, Even though I don’t see how. I’m saying now, dear Kaylie, how I wish I’d told you.
