To Latasha, From Aunty
From the first time I saw you take that first breath of life. You warmed my heart and caused me to cry.The first time I picked you up and looked into your big light eyes. You stared at me back as if my voice you did recognize. At that very moment all the emotions and feelings I had, suddenly turned into joy. I kept telling myself, 'we're gonna have alot of fun in the future' I was actually happy that you weren't a boy. Eventually I'll get to show you the world. What to wear, how to do your makeup and your hair. How to walk, how to talk, even more so how to care. How to love, how to live, how to give to others, how to share. No matter what I'll always be there don't ever forget I'm always here. When you need some advice whether it be about boys, clothes, parents, or just simply life. Don't feel that you have to hold anything back from me.I want you to feel as if I'm more of a friend to you rather than just an Aunty.I want to take you places and show you the world. I want to be there by your side watching you grow. There's so much living for you to do. I want to be there to help, strengthen, and guide you.I tell myself everyday, I have to be the best that I can be, because your right there behind me following, copying what I wear, say and do. Reminding me constantly, "Aunty I want to be just like you." I don't want to make bad decisions, or the worst mistakes.I want you to be led down the right path. I want you to excel in school, making A's and B's in every class. I look into your eyes and see so much of myself, plus more. You have such good qualities already, at your age your very mature. You know right from wrong and good from bad. Your the firstborn of the family chances are you'll get everything we never had. You'll be spoiled, but obliged. Respectful and not lie. You'll be talented, our little star, and will continue to rise. Each moment that passes, each day that goes by you continue to learn, to listen, to see, you continue to grow. There's so much more for me to show. But I never want you to be hurt or harmed.Your a piece of everyone in the family, more than you'll ever know. So beautiful you'll be. You'll accomplish so much. Because of so many characteristics and personality going for you, it's so easy to see. Your smart, but witty, talkative and giddy. Your full of life and energy. You have the look of innocence, although your sometimes guilty. You bring so much joy to all of us, in your own special way.Your our Binky,Our Nana's Girl, Our Little Tay, You brighten up each and every day.
