You'Re My Wallpaper
It’s the weekend And my weak begins I can’t pretend That your memories fill my lungs My knees are bruised My inner eye opens I follow the wind As it blows through memories’ curtains… Chorus I’m lost…in a sea of tears Can’t you see me ‘cos you’re all I see…you’re my wallpaper I lie in bed and you cover my ceiling I look in the mirror And I see your disappointment I close my eyes And the thought of losing you is a torment It’s Sunday morning Saturday was a blur It used to be church we’d be going But I sit making up stories that come Monday I’ll share We used to host The fanciest Sunday lunch We used to boast About how we loved each other so much But now… I’m lost…in a sea of tears Can’t you see me ‘cos you’re all I see…you’re my wallpaper I lie in bed and you cover my ceiling I look in the mirror And I see your disappointment I close my eyes And the thought of losing you is a torment Oh babe, if you knew maybe That I’m a broken man Wondering where you could be Drowning and self-resuscitating, but I go back down I thought I heard you in the bathroom I miss you so much…I’m losing touch You laughter haunts this home The decor is your touch…oh babe your touch it Monday morning And my weak ends The sun is shinning Going through the days and nights until the week ends
