Contemplation In the Rain
Walking in the rain Feeling my way down this path I've walked here too many times Too familiar with the way this is gonna end Can I not change this? Make a turn in the road? Why do I need to always go down this road? I'm not fully to blame. Dancing in the rain Feeling the droplets landing on my skin A cold kiss to my warm body Gradually getting numb to all the pains Starting to feel myself slowly going back Not wanting to always go back Why do I need to go back? I'm not going back. Thinking in the rain Feeling a melody perched on the edge of my lips Words wanting to spill out But the longer you wait, the harder it gets Words hidden into the depths of my mind But me, not wanting to pull them out any longer Stepping into the shadows Crying in the rain Feeling hot tears dripping down my cheeks Teardrops heavier than the rain on my face Emotions swirling through the night sky Wishing you would tell me everything's okay But knowing it's not It's too late
