Me and Me
Standing in front of me, he looks into my eyes. I see a familiar smile on his pale lips to rise. For ages those eyes were known and the face alike, as if I witness every time one of my own kinds. He did what I did; he said what I said and when time came he sensed same fears, flown with delights and felt peace to reclaim. When I was right and stood on my grounds, he was left with none. Though standing against me, he trusted my beliefs in return. He was there for all along, witnessing each moment And I was all alone feeling, my mind lonely and dormant To me he was not real as I hardly observed his presence His silence tells me today I was fool to perceive his absence Today when I confront him with a diluted mind in the mirror, likewise me he is, although some shades familiar but stranger. His harsh eyes pierce into mine, ask me single proof of my existence, questioning my presence, asking me, am I real or only his reflection?
