Now I Am Alone
As young man I thought I was the only one Without me nothing could be done But as I grew, I was taught a thing or two As time went by I began to see myself Through other peoples eyes I thought that I was living such an unstoppable life It took being alone to see the mistakes that were made A whole life Drifting along Going the wrong way Now I am alone I thought that I was the only one in town She would never leave No one could do any better So I turned my back and told her to wait I needed to do things my way I'm not the one after all A whole life Drifting along Going the wrong way Now I am alone I thought those who were close Would never leave So I cared about no one Again I was the only one I never thought about anything or anyone but it needed to be done my way Why should anyone stay? A whole life Drifting along Going the wrong way Now I am alone In my darkest hour A day near death They all came to my side After a tragedy I thought no one would leave Again only thinking about myself Not caring for or appreciating anyone else everyone left. Now I see why I am left alone
