Why a Patrol Person
Why A Patrol Person Police person was patrolling around outside; He died and in heaven now does abide; So young and slightly beyond his youth, Killed by someone unfair and uncouth. Terror erupted and severely exacerbated; Another New York's finest found assassinated By an indecent person of African descent; Was well planned and knew what he meant. Killer's performance he did was in defiance Of someone who on we placed our reliance, And now no more will person ever be seen Patrolling park in summer while still green. Had been one of New York's finest on his beat, Trying to control crime and an enemy defeat; One more thing I must be sure to mention; Death of another is drawing all the attention. What is wrong with wretched society these days? Willing to give another much attention and praise While this great guy always stood by our side Why haven't we cried now that he has died? James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran It may not be poem of the day or week but it has a very strong message. I am sure you will be able to read and find it in my poem. Need a category for pride.
