Let me tell you about the things I used to do. Disobeying my parents, gonna do it my way, Refusing to believe God's Word, neglecting to pray. Reading God's Word, but living in sin, Let me tell you about the mess I was in. Caring for God's people, but no deep concern, Looking good on the outside I had a lot to learn. Talking to God, but did not want to listen. So many things in my life just began missing. Found myself to be a lover of men, Wouldn't humble myself and let God in. In the Bible I read: "Man you cannot please." It was time to get on bended knees. I began to pray and seek the Lord's face; Study God's Word and find my place. I humbled myself in silent prayer I needed to know if God still cared. I prayed and fasted, had a repentful heart; God began to show me exactly where I needed to start. I was thirsty and hungry after God's righteous word; I kept fasting and praying and one day I heard.... Jesus loves you and will forgive you of all sins; If only you will let and keep God in. I felt unworthy because of things I used to do, But God blotted out my transgressions, cleansed and purged me too. He fixed me up and gave me a new lease on life; Filled me with the Holy Spirit, helped me to handle strife. And the things I used to do, I don't do any more, Now I tell others abbout Christ and that He stands at their door. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock: will you let ME in!"
