A Planted Idea
If I wasn't here to turn the light on, she'd whither away. In a world so full of life, it's easy to forget how spectacular life is. The simplicity of a potted plant holds billions of complex answers. How was the cosmos able to shower our planet with life and not leave us with a neighbor in magnified sight? The vastness of nothingness, and we are just a piece of a greater something. Somewhere, someone flicks a light on at dawn and claps it off in the evening. Occasionally, sending rain to feed us. Disrupting our soil, our bridges and buildings crumble. We rebuild and wait for sunrise, innately we heal. Our leaves outstretched as if worshipping the light. We give and we take, we are the breath of life. We're nothing more than plants in a pot hoping God will not allow us to wither in winter. These are the simple complexities that spark my wonder. A flick of a switch, could I be He? Perhaps, partially, we are all a part of life's seed. Breathe...
