Bloody Valentine Card
It was a gloomy day I walked through eerie halls, a note was left for me somewhere, between these castle walls. It said, "Secret Admirer," but whom would it be? I don't know of anyone who would do this I want to know, why me? I followed a trail of rose petals that were laid on the stone floor, they led me down a narrow hallway and to a big wooden door. I had taken a candle opera off of the wall, it had grown cold and dark but, I had forgotten my shawl. I grabbed the handle of the wooden door, opened it slowly and slipped on the bloody floor. Inside the room I saw a table of gifts, I didn't know whether to walk away or run away, so swift. I proceeded to walk over to the table and there I saw, a bloody Valentine in a dead bird's claw. I opened up the Valentine got blood all over my hands, glanced over at the corner a dark shadow there stands. He didn't say anything just watched the horror on my face, it's nights like these I want to erase. I ran quickly to the door and tried to escape, but the shadow loomed over me and covered me with his cape. He took me outside and buried me in the yard, he shovelled sand in my face upon my grave, he placed the bloody Valentine card. Copyright © Cynthia Jones Feb.13/2006
