Let It Be
LET IT BE As they kept getting closer, you drew farther away. Left with no one to turn to, all the colors turned to gray. Skies have turned all cloudy, I can’t tell day and night apart. The pain I feel from loving you, is how I tell I have a heart. I've given up believing, that anything will ever be ok. And you've given up believing, in anything I say. As far as my emotions, I can’t feel anything at all. I spend each minute hoping, that you will or will not call. One minute I would give the world, to have you by my side. The next I want to run away, crawl in a hole and hide. I miss your laughter, your smile and your touch. I had no way of knowing, I could miss someone so much. I could not change our future, now it's in the past. Is it possible that heart ache, will be the only part of us to last? There are times I want another, mostly out of spite. But it would be like using one wrong to make another right. Each day that I make it through, is another battle fought. Just like other mistakes I've made, another lesson taught. I feel like the sole survivor, on a ship tossed around at sea. But I’ve learned that if you can’t fix it. You must learn to "let it be" Inspired by: A time of trials
