Pain
There is no other emotion more elaborate than pain. It summons up depression, dispair and tortures the brain. It comes bearing burdens and shackles for my hope to drain. Leaving me fighting for joy through the struggle and strain. It blots out every ray of hope with dark thunderous clouds of rain. The thunder claps loudly like the crackle of a large consuming flame. Flooring me, it watches me squirm as I limo cripple and lame, It leers as the fire licks my wounds leaving no hope for me to claim. It jokingly invites me to stand and fight for the smile that I can regain. Only to have my knees buckle and give way, forcing me to fall back in shame. Like a puppet, it makes me dance as it pulls on my chains. As it laughs at my struggle for it is its most joyous of games. But as for me this will not be the point where I will be defeated or tamed. Though the sky darken with doubt and my crimson blood the floor stain. I refuse to accept the honey lace lie so simple and plain. And I will blacken my knuckles fighting vigorously against the grain. With every scar marked and every drop of blood spilled, wisdom I gain. And I will rise stronger and learn how this pain to restrain. For after this most heinous of plights, the demon will remember my name. In the end I will reign victorious and my long peace of mind finally obtain.
