Son Had Been So Sweet
Son Had Been So Sweet When my son died, it was such a surprise And many, many teas came to my eyes How hard I had cried and sad I was Which is what every loving parent does. Why would anyone take him from me? Heaven is a better place where he can be But still will miss him now that he has gone; Had discovered he died just after dawn. Maybe something different I could have done To take care of and love my dying son And of all those many things that I did Were with love and God would not forbid. He arrived in heaven and was never late And now for me up there he will wait At heaven's gate so me he soon can greet; Here on earth son had been so sweet. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran Our youngest son Jamie who died at 33 years of age on our 39th wedding anniversary August 27th, 2005.
