Memories of a Lost Love
Cold weather, sun setting, a December afternoon, I was staring at her, as she passed her hand by her cheek, and she bit her lip, The wind in her face, waving her curly dark brown hair. An unexpected jumble of feelings roamed through the air. A whole new set of goals and dreams, adventures and memories, Of what it seemed the beginning of the end... or was it the end of the beginning? I still remember every little thing, every little detail, every word we both said, But I question to myself... Does she remember as well? Such a question, a good one indeed, but I am not sure if I want to know... What I do know is that if I live another day, another time, another life... I will choose her once again. For her, for only her, I write this note, Whose voice gave me peace, and whose love made me whole. You led my path through dark times, you carried me off the edge of the fall, and picked me up when I did fall. Maybe I was not the greatest, but be sure I was the only one whose love was pure and true. I still can not forget, and yet you banished me from your reign, lost in the clouds on this dark sky which now I travel without your guide. For her, for only her, I write these feelings, But I kept asking to myself... Does she remember me as well? - SC, Jan 2015.
