Where have I been? Has nothing to do with where I am going Except I grant it access to the longing soul… Together is more powerful than alone If alone is in need of substance and hope So much love exist; abounding in faith and trust I must invite it into my longing soul… The smoke has my eyes tearful The music has my dreams anxious The plant kingdom has power to change life It cannot commune with my longing soul… “Step forward”, Hope says You are not what you’ve done Cause your longing to give birth and live Yes, it’s possible for my longing soul… Chance and change are vying for a seat At the table of the heart Yet, so much peace rests at the altar The destiny is Recovery for my longing soul… I will, because, I can So my mind capitulates when considering the past Falling to the earth and surrendering to His will Finally there is rest for my longing soul!
