My bed faces the window And I can see all my friends playing Out in their front yards. Some of the older kids are raking The fallen leaves of golden brown, Reds, orange, and yellows From under the bare trees. Raking them into enormous heap, While some of the younger children Come running and jump into the piles; While others kick, and hurl them around. The dog is barking all excited, Jumping, running round and round The pile of leaves wanting to join in.
