Captain of Our Own Ship
All of us in this human race have trials and tribulations to face. We're special and complex in our own way with simple joys and hopes to display. Night can be magic and days hold delight for those who use their wise insight. For in our hands we hold the key to wellness and recovery. A life-long journey's what we're on with love and laughter sometimes gone. But in the end it's ours to keep for we've learned how to swim the deep. Captain of our very own ship at times we might just make a slip. Tossed about on a sea of disaster yet we need simply to tread faster. Need to gather strength from within for there's the prize of life to win. Pages in our book to fill and getting that boulder up that hill. Successes might be big or small- it matters not, be proud of them all. You're such a wonderment in your own way so sing out loud- you've a lot to say! written December 1st, 2014
