Santa Storm Watch
Santa Storm Watch Santa stopped by one winter’s night for cookies He had something else on his mind There was apprehension behind those Sparkling eyes Yet he maintained a jolly look because Seeing a little spy guy there, me Spilling a glass of milk Falling on the tree An inappropriate way to decorate if you ask me The special magic watch given to Santa at Christmas By his wife, with a kiss, went missing in the snow “What time is it my little man?” (He said) I answered, “Time for bed and Christmas Mr. Santa!” “Could I stay the night?” poor Santa implored “Let me check with mom and dad!” I said Santa stayed right through to Christmas and beyond In June he left with eight tiny woodland creatures The snow was melted by then I’m sure but I'm just guessing The missing watch turned up just outside the door Santa laughed and roared with joy Hush. Say nothing. I promised not to say any more 11/22/14 “HUSH OF CHRISTMAS PAST” – Poetry Contest
