Sunrise In the Shadows
Every time I see the sun disappear before my eyes, I dissipate inside the fog, Watching nothing materialize. A black and empty hole, My heart is trapped within your eyes. I'm screaming at the night, Bereft of love lost in the skies. The day it went away, the stars they fell and cried. And so their tears had left a trail, Reminding all, that all can die. A sad but bitter truth, The truth is that love is blind. I could've never saw the day, that broken Angel learned to fly. But she returned upon the night, I thought for sure that I had died. A ghost trapped inside a graveyard, A pale light drifting through the fog. Her tears fell upon my face, As she gently wept throughout the night. I awoke to see her standing there, Although blurry from the light. I remembered how she'd always shine, I've reached heaven to my delight. "Oh Purity how I love thee dear, I could swear that I was dead." I looked to my left to find a rose & razor where I bled. She handed my heart and this is what she said, "I have kept it all along in the safest place right next to mine, If I'd let you keep it'd be soaked in bitter cyanide & wine. Come with me to the stars, They've waited so long to shine. Stand up and walk with me and I will show you, you are fine." Walking towards the morning sun, Silhouettes of shadows within the trees. Holding hands with a ghost, Finally I am set free! I wake up from my dream with the sun shining beautifully in the sky. laying at a grave a smile slid across my face. Here lies Purity, An Angel who died October 8th. But always she'll be loved, never forgotten to this day. As a child she took my heart, and promised to keep it safe. It's full of passion for true art. Like the suns undying rays. Never let it disappear, especially inside the shade.
